In a tale of failed fatherhood, loss and ultimate redemption, ex-con Donnie Arnett returns home to a life he barely recognizes. Riddled with guilt over the death of his best friend, and discovering his estranged wife, Gayle, drug-addicted and involved in a volatile relationship with psychopathic Rickie, Donnie appears headed toward destruction. Then he meets a kindred spirit in headstrong tattoo artist Maggie. Maggie urges him to reconnect with his troubled 12-year-old daughter Grace, who barely remembers him. But as Donnie painfully starts to rebuild a relationship with Grace, Rickie grows ever more abusive toward Gayle. Fueled by huge quantities of methamphetamine and a destructive relationship with his own father, Rickies downward spiral hits bottom when he brutally murders Gayle. A witness to the murder, Grace seeks refuge with Donnie and Maggie, but Donnies misguided efforts to protect his daughter lead to a terrible night of violence and death. In the end, events that would seem to take Grace farther away from Donnie than ever, actually draw them into a bond as enduring, as indelible, as Donnies tattoos.

AFM Update 1

The market is in full swing and we are right in the middle of it. Unfortunately AFM this year has been very slow, particularly for low budget indie films. There doesn't seem to be a glut of low budget indie content however buyers seem to be very picky about the types of films they are acquiring. Additionally there seems to be a ton of activity in the digital rights arena for VOD which is an interesting change. New companies seem to be emerging and making nice headway. We have struck a few deals with these companies and we will be exploring where they can take us.

We will try and post a new update every night untill the end of the market now that things have died down a bit.

New Acquisitions and New In-Productions

We are very excited about the new film we will be releasing "Haunting Villisca" a creepy ghost story based on factual events that took place in Villisca, Iowa.

We have also begune production on two films, one we have already posted "After Dark" and the second "Cold Zone" (working title). We will post more soon on these two productions as well as additional acquisition titles very soon.

IN PRE-PRODUCTION "AFTER DARK"

We have officially started pre-production on our next in-house production "After Dark" (working title). We have submitted the script to some possible known talent and it was very well received and talent commitments currently in the works. We have a working budget, however we will be seeking additional funding to total out our estimated budget needs.

A few new exciting film acquisitions are in the works and hopefully we will have that info out to you soon.

The Producer/Writer/Director of "The Shiftling" is currently working on a new film "Scape" which looks great, congratulations Taegen!

AFM is almost upon us so we are very busy trying to get things together for the market.

Robert Carrera to sign with DSF

Robert Carrera has officially signed on with Digital Shadow Films production entity, after DSF's distribution acquired a handful of short films from Mr. Carrera and a Co-Production of the short film Consequence, DSF has worked out an agreement with Mr. Carrera for future work.

Good things will come from the partnership, already in the works is the up coming feature film "After Dark" which Morris and Carrera will Co-Direct, additionally look out for the Horror Comedy "Baxter" feature film which Carrera will be directing later this year.
